This race is all about options. Run a 5k or 8 mile, do a triathlon or complete the whole Glacier Challenge as a soloist or with a team. It’s time to get in gear and head out for Montana’s premier multi-sport relay race.
Participants of the Glacier Challenge enter as individuals, partners, and teams [up to 7 members] and race both competitively and recreationally. We love that this race can be both fun and a serious competition. We also love that over the years, the Glacier Challenge has provided opportunities for first time racers to compete, families to race, couples to partner together, businesses to form teams, and healthy competitions to form between like organizations. We’ve even had a newlywed husband and wife team race as the first adventure together in their married lives. All of these “coming togethers” have culminated in the unique combination of competition and fun that is The Glacier Challenge.
The Glacier Challenge features six legs of running, biking, canoeing and kayaking covering almost 50 miles of beautiful terrain in and around Whitefish, Montana. With the different events to choose from, you could do anything from one leg to all of them!

WE NEED YOU!!
Due to the magnitude of the race, we need numerous volunteers to help make our event successful! We need people to help in a variety of areas. Please click on the Volunteer Now button above or use the contact info below by scrolling all the way down.
This year, we are looking for businesses, church groups and area organizations, families etc. to sponsor each leg of the race. This is a great way to come together and have some fun. It’s also an opportunity to create your own publicity. Tell your friends, service groups, church groups, or coworkers about the opportunity to volunteer for The Glacier Challenge!
Volunteers will help by:
Providing 3 to 7 hours of service depending on job
Support and coordination at Race: traffic monitor, food distribution, water tables
Cheering on and inspiring our racers
Being a part of a race raising money for our area kids in crisis.
