Race Route Directions for First Leg of Road Bike
The first half of the road bike route begins at Riverside Park, heading south on Baker Ave. Turn right after bridge on to 7th Street. Make left on Karrow Ave. which becomes Blanchard Lake Road. [There is very little shoulder on this road and several sharp curves that makes this an important area to be aware of traffic on.] At the “T” of Blanchard Lake and Hwy. 93, turn right. You will be heading south at this point and will continue to do so until you reach KM Ranch Road. Make a right here. At the fork, bear right. Make left at Spring Prairie Road. Make right onto Kuhns Road. [Again, watch for sharp turns in the road which makes visibility difficult for motor vehicles.] Turn right onto Farm-t-Market Road until you get to the entrance to the transition area for the mountain biker, also known to locals as THE PIG FARMS.
Race Route Directions for Second Leg of Road Bike
After the hand-off, bikers will head north on Farm-to-Market then turn right onto Lodgepole. Stay on Lodgepole until you reach Twin Bridges. Turn right on Twin Bridges and continue to Hwy. 93. Turn right onto the highway, being aware of vehicles on this curve. Turn right on Lupfer and go to end of road which is a cul-de-sac. When entering the transition area, please ensure you are in position for timekeepers to see your bib. NO BIKES ARE PERMITTED BEYOND THE CUL-DE-SAC. Teams must have one member of the canoe leg meet the road biker at the cul-de-sac. Canoes may be moved to the dock but not in the water before hand-off occurs.
Results: Timing of individual legs may vary based upon exchange area layout, which means personal times kept by racers may not correspond to official results.
