Pre-Race Meeting: There will be a pre-race meeting at 7:00 AM at the starting line (Riverside Park in Whitefish) for all competitors. The meeting will provide runners with the most up-to-date information on the race course and a review of all safety precautions. IT IS MANDATORY FOR All PARTICIPANTS TO ATTEND THIS MEETING. The Glacier Challenge 2010 begins with the 10K leg at 7:30 AM.

4k runners: We recommend being at the gazebo by 10:00. [The first canoers came in at 10:23 last year]

Directions to gazebo: From Hwy. 93, turn onto JP Road [at Don K car lot]. Make left on Shiloh Ave., right on Lenna Joy Dr. until the cul-de-sac. Bike path is just beyond and down the hill.

Parking: There is a limited amount of parking in the cul-de-sac. Carpooling whenever possible is suggested.

Equipment: Shoes and necessary running attire. Event organizers are not responsible for any belongings left at race sites.

The Course:The 4k route begins on the bike path right before the footbridge behind Don Ks. [To get to this location by vehicle, turn onto JP Road, make left on Shiloh Ave., right on Lenna Joy Dr. until the cul-de-sac. Bike path is just beyond the down hill.] 5k runners will begin the route right above the gazebo where the canoe takes out. Continue along bike path to foot bridge and cross over. Stay on bike path until dirt road which is Monegan Rd. Make a left. At first cross road, turn left on to Voerman Rd. Turn right onto Creek Wood Dr. which becomes Asher Ave. Make left on 7th St. Right on Park Ave. Left on 6th St. Continue to intersection of Spokane Ave. Traffic monitor will assist racers in this crossing. Racers must heed to moving vehicles. Cross over Central Ave. onto bike path and through the finish line.

Results: It is important for all racers to be visible to timekeepers when crossing transition areas and the finish line. Timing of individual legs may vary based upon exchange area layout, which means personal times kept by racers may not correspond to official results.
